Tamworth Borough Council are delighted to announce that a new playground at Beauchamp Road in Hockley, is now open.
Designs from contractors Komplan, reveal the brand-new play area, which includes equipment for youngsters aged three to early teens.
Children will be able to enjoy multi play units with towers, connecting bridge, swings, plus an interactive panel and seesaw.
The new playground covers a larger area of the park to focus on accessible access and a wider variety of new play equipment.
Councillor Lewis Smith, portfolio holder for people services, leisure and engagement, said: “It’s great to see this play area open for children and young people to enjoy. The new playground has been extended to allow new play equipment and accessibility for families.
“A big thank you to former councillor Daniel Maycock and other ward councillors, for their hard work in securing additional funding for the new park, providing a great asset for local residents and children.”
This project was part of Tamworth Borough Council’s regular programme of playground refurbishment, with additional funds allowing the expansion of the play area and equipment.
