Tamworth Assembly Rooms are welcoming new and exciting acts and shows to the stage for 2024, including performances from Toploader, Chesney Hawkes, Musical Youth, plus iconic tribute acts and stage shows!
Take a look at the new 24 shows for 2024, starting on 11 February with Toploader as they celebrate their 20-year anniversary of the release for their debut album 'Onka's Big Moka’, featuring their top global hit ‘Dancing In The Moonlight’. The album sold over two million copies and remained in the Top 5 of the UK album chart for over six months earning them four Brit Award nominations.
On the 13 February join the brave rangers for an action-packed Dinosaur Adventure in the new and exciting show ‘Trouble on Volcano Island’.
Families with young children are invited to meet the incredible Triceratops, the cheeky Spinosaurus, our cute baby dinos and the gigantic T-Rex. This amazing, immersive and interactive show is guaranteed to be an unforgettable adventure.
Chesney Hawkes is joining the stage on 22 February with his ‘one and only’ tour, singing his top hits from the 90s; plus, iconic 80s band Musical Youth, will be celebrating 42 years since the release of ‘Pass The Dutchie’ on 25 February.
More children’s entertainment is on 29 February with youngsters favourite ‘Spot the Dog’ as he celebrates his birthday on stage with Steve the monkey, Tom the Crocodile and Helen the Hippo with an interactive and accessible show suitable for ages from two years old.
Grown-up entertainment comes to the Assembly Rooms on 1 March with Priscilla Queen of the Disaster - Surviving the Early Years of Motherhood. This one-person show is an hilarious and brutally honest show about being a mum and sharing experiences!
Want more 80s music? Then join the Electromantics as they pay tribute to the eighties with their new romantics embraced sounds and technologies that changed the face of music forever.
For an afternoon of sensational sixties music, join Lollypops & Moptops on Sunday 10 March for a packed show of 50s and 60s sounds featuring icons The Dreamers.
Supporting this show are national tribute award winners The Temple Brothers, with their tribute to The Everly Brothers; and opening the show is multi award winning Buddy Holly tribute act Buddy Walker.
More children entertainment arrives on 12 – 14 March when a stage performance of the book ‘Charlie Cook’s Favourite Book’, written by Julia Donaldson, comes to life with enchanting songs and puppetry.
The Million Dollar Men burst into town on 16 March, bringing a team of talented male performers for a packed-out show of incredible dancing and audience interaction.
Get ready for a wild one and experience the atmosphere of a fun male dance show with all the sounds of the best 90s & 00s RnB classics.
Tommy Blaize, lead singer on Strictly Come Dancing for 20 glorious years, has one of the most recognisable voices in the UK. He will perform songs everyone knows and loves on 20 March and telling stories about the legends he’s worked alongside, expect a Strictly incredible evening.
For one night only and direct from London’s West End, join Stuart Michael, psychic medium, on 21 March, for a thrilling and intriguing night of psychic mediumship.
Boasting an impressive, worldwide celebrity client list, Stuart brings his quick-witted humour, sensitivity, and compassion to the stage for an uplifting experience.
Tribute bands don’t come much better than this, when The Magic of the Bee Gees, You Win Again Tour, arrives on 22 March.
This breath-taking concert will take you on a musical journey through all your favourite Bee Gee songs, including hits they wrote for artists such as Celine Dion, Diana Ross, and Dolly Parton.
The Real Thing with original vocalist Chris Amoo and Dave Smith, are touring in Tamworth on 23 March, promoting their first new album of original material in 44 years ‘A Brand New Day ‘, currently in the top three Amazon best sellers.
March finishes with a classic Musical Theatre production of Oliver! Presented by Tamworth Musical Theatre Company by Special Arrangement with Cameron Mackintosh from 27 March – 30 March.
This Charles Dicken’s beloved novel is brought to the stage, taking audiences on a wild adventure through Victorian England; with spirited, timeless songs like ‘Consider Yourself’, ‘Food Glorious Food’ and ‘Oom Pah-Pah’, Oliver! Is a musical classic for all for the family to enjoy.
