Tamworth Borough Council is proud to announce that they have once again been awarded the bronze animal activity licensing award in the RSPCA PawPrints awards, recognising the council’s ongoing commitment to protecting and promoting animal welfare.
This prestigious honour highlights the council’s continuous efforts to innovate and excel in protecting and promoting animal welfare. The RSPCA PawPrints awards celebrate local authorities, public bodies, and individuals for their pioneering work in animal welfare across England and Wales.
Tamworth Borough Council was recognised for their efficient processing of animal licensing applications and effective complaints handling from the public relating to licensed animal activities.
Councillor David Foster, portfolio holder for environmental sustainability, waste, recycling and transport, said: “We are very honoured and proud to receive this award from the RSPCA once again. It shows the dedication of our officers in safeguarding animal welfare and promoting the high standards of licensed animal activity.
“Our licensing team plays an essential role in safeguarding the wellbeing of animals involved in licensed activities, making sure that businesses operate to the highest standards and that the public can have confidence in those standards being met. This award highlights that hard work and reinforces our commitment to maintaining best practice in all areas of animal welfare.
