Some of the hexagonal paving stones installed as part of last year's refurbishment have begun to crack and break — and we are already working to put it right, at no cost to the council or taxpayers.
We know this is frustrating, we hope to have a solution in the coming weeks.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to contact us about this — your feedback is important.
In the meantime, we are carrying out interim maintenance to keep the square safe while we work to resolve this issue.
Carol Dean, Leader of Tamworth Borough Council, said: "St Editha's Square is a space this town should be proud of, and like many residents I'm disappointed to see the pavers need replacing with a different product. We are committed to putting this right. We'll share more updates as soon as we can, and I thank residents for their patience."
