Tamworth Borough Council’s regeneration plans take another step forward with hoarding being put in place and preparatory work starting on restoring and renovating the beautiful Victorian former Co-op building on Colehill as part of plans funded by the government’s Future High Streets Fund.

Canopy in St Editha’s square to be removed

As Tamworth Borough Council begin work on progressing its plans for the town centre Future High Streets project, work to remove the canopy in St Editha’s square will start on October 31.

Tamworth Borough Council bid for £20m for further town centre regeneration

Tamworth Borough Council has submitted a bid to the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, for a grant of £20million to redevelop land and buildings near and around the former Bingo Hall on Spinning School Lane. This will deliver half of the Gungate masterplan that was consulted on in 2021.
