Work to develop all-weather 3G pitch at Anker Valley set to start

For International Women’s Day on 8 March, Tamworth Brough Council welcomed Tamworth Academy Girls, a local football academy led by Tamworth Football Club, to Anker Valley Sports and Community Complex to help celebrate the start of work to build an all-weather 3G football pitch at the site.

Nursing home to be built at Solway Close

Sale of land used as a former plant nursery has been agreed. The land, owned by Tamworth Borough Council, is being sold to Staffordshire County Council to create much needed additional nursing home capacity in Tamworth.
